The Process

Impact energy runs through the frame: into the header, the corner, the sill, and whatever the wall was holding up. Atlas records the structural damage, writes the repair from the engineer's letter where one is required, and puts framing, envelope, utilities, and finishes into one Xactimate® estimate from a measured sketch, top down and trade by trade.

Where Scopes Come In Short

Bearing Wall or Partition

A hit to a bearing wall or a header means the floor above is in the scope too, not just the opening. Racked door and window openings in the rooms around it are part of the same event.

Foundation and Sill

A cracked foundation wall, a shifted sill plate, and pulled anchor bolts sit under the framing repair and get missed because they're below the hole.

Utilities in the Wall

Gas, electrical, and water at the impact point are licensed-trade repairs with permits and pressure tests, not a note on the framing line.

Siding and Matching

The patched corner has to match the rest of the house. A discontinued siding profile sets the boundary at the next corner, not at the last damaged panel, and temporary shoring and board-up carry until the wall is closed.

Code Note

Structural and foundation repair is sized to current framing provisions, and where a garage wall is involved, the separation between garage and house goes back to current requirement. The difference over the original is written as a code upgrade on its own line.
