FAQ

Questions, Answered Plainly.

Tell us what you handle and where. We'll tell you plainly whether Atlas is a fit, what it costs, and how it works.
What does Atlas do?
Xactimate® estimating, field scoping, and Matterport documentation for the professionals who carry property claims. Atlas writes the file; the licensed professional or the contractor’s team handles the claim.
Who does Atlas work for?
Restoration contractors, public adjusters, independent adjusting firms, and general contractors. Not property owners directly.
Is Atlas a public adjuster?
No. Atlas does not represent insureds, negotiate with carriers, or interpret coverage. It documents and estimates.
Does Atlas work for carriers or for policyholders?
Atlas writes the same measured file for whoever holds the claim. The scope is the building’s.
What do I get back?
ESX and PDF, the photo report, the Matterport sketch and walkthrough, the invoice, and notes on anything not verified.
What does it cost?
Estimating is priced by loss value on a published schedule. Matterport is $289 to 3,500 square feet. Work outside the schedule is $189 an hour.
Where does Atlas work?
New Hampshire and Massachusetts, from Merrimack. Deployable nationwide after major storms.
Do I need to be on site?
Yes, at least at first. Once there’s a working relationship, that gets more flexible.
Can Atlas write from my photos without a site visit?
Yes, with a written note of what was verified and what was not.
Does Atlas do mitigation, remediation, or repairs?
No. Atlas is an estimating and documentation firm.
Does Atlas do drone photography?
Not yet. FAA Part 107 certification is in progress; aerial capture is listed as coming soon.
Whose letterhead is on the final reports?
Yours. Atlas is the estimator, not a party to the claim.
